Progress!

I started Maude and I love the rythmn of the pattern. I don't even have to look at the pattern any more (especially the lace edge). The only problem I'm having is the needles. I don't have pointy enough wood needles and the yarn slips too much on my metal needles (KP Options). I'm using the Options needles because of the points.

Are we the only three knitting this?

Looks great-I love the color as well. I hope there's more than 3 of us knitting Maude-maybe after all the Rhinebeck/Stitches excitement dies down there will be more of us!

If you knit it they will come! And they'll all be jealous!

I started off on wood, and quickly switched to Addi's - and I'm so glad!

I've rounded the short rows, and am heading down the decreases -
will post soon!

Yours looks great!!!

How True!

Wendy-did you have 105 stitches between the markers? I don't and I was wondering if that really mattered-I am thinking not as long as I am ready to do row 8 of the edging. I've put her aside until I can work on it without distractions-I dont' think I'd be able to handle it if I screwed it up at this point.

The 105 sts is just where I happened to decide that the thing was big enough--and also when I had used 1/2 of my yarn! You could keep going, making it bigger or smaller as long as you were confident you had enough yarn.

Sweet! I didn't think it really mattered-as long as I ended up on the right row-thanks Courtney.

Courtney - It's Great Adirondack Yarns wool/silk blend. I think the color is called Cancun. I'll check it later and post the details.

Go Wendy GO!!!!! Go M2S Round that short row!!!

Ok - I'm punchy. I wanna go home and knit.

I have about 60 stitches and FUBARed the lace edge somewhere, but I couldn't figure it out so I'm not going to worry about it.

I was thinking I'd keep going till I was 5 or 6 yards from the end of skein 1, then do the short rows, then attach skein 2 and decrease till I was done. I'm a big girl, I can use a big shawl.
